From lump of clay to your new favorite mug
Every session includes clay, tools, glazes and firings. Bring clothes you don't mind getting muddy.
Center it
Learn to tame a spinning lump of clay. It takes a few tries, and that's the fun.
Pull it up
Open, pull and shape cups and bowls with one-on-one help from your instructor.
Fire and glaze
Trim, add handles, pick your glazes and we fire it in the kiln. You take it home.
Hi, I'm Katie.
I'm a self-taught potter who decided to delve into clay six years ago and have been sharing my passion with students for 5 years. I mostly make functional pieces like mugs, cups, bowls and planters, usually with a little high-fantasy magic mixed in (dragons on your morning coffee? Yes please). After nine years in South Jersey, I recently moved to Pennsylvania and opened our second studio location in Wyncote, which I share with my partner Ben, who teaches glassblowing. Our dogs, Floki and Churro, are the official studio greeters at both locations, so come for the clay and stay for the puppy hugs.
