  • 6 week classes will now be $485
  • Try It Out/Ghost Date Night/ & Private Parties will now be $125/person
  • Private Parties larger than 10 people will now be $145/person to accommodate the need for extra staff
  • Private Lessons will now be $200/person for each 3 hour lesson

Do you want to learn the basics of throwing on the potter's wheel? Our 6 week beginner's program will explore basic techniques for throwing forms such as cups and bowls. We will also learn about trimming, attaching handles, surface techniques, and glazing! 

Sundays 10am-1pm
Sundays 2pm-5pm
Tuesdays 6pm-9pm
Wednesdays 6pm-9pm
Thursdays 6pm-9pm

Experience throwing pottery on the wheel! After watching a demonstration, you'll be guided through the process of centering the clay & creating a basic shape. Then, you'll independently make your own piece from start to finish!

Fridays & Saturdays 6pm

Ages 13-17

Join Hugs Ceramics for a 6 Week Beginner's Wheel Throwing class designed especially for TEENS!

Learn basic throwing techniques to master basic forms such as cups, bowls, vases, mugs & more! Students will also learn other important parts of the pottery process such as trimming, attaching handles, surface design, and glazing!

Saturdays 10am-1pm

Our 6 week handbuilding program will explore basic handbuilding techniques through creating pinch pots, coil pots, and slab work. In addition, learn about surface design, beginner-level sculpting, & more! Instructor will have weekly projects & encourage students to explore forms and techniques on their own as well.

Tuesdays 6pm-9pm

*Pre-Requisite* - Must have taken at least 3 Beginner's Pottery Classes @ Hugs Ceramics or equal amount of time at another pottery studio

Comfortable with the basics of throwing and ready to learn more advanced forms? This class is for you! Students will explore techniques for throwing larger forms, lidded forms, & adding sculptural elements to pieces. This class is for students who are ready to develop their own style!

I took a 6-week class and absolutely loved it. Katie’s instruction is a perfect balance of guided and independent practice. Environment was very warm and friendly. This class was worth every single penny. I learned so much and had fun while doing it!
