Do you want to learn the basics of throwing on the potter's wheel? Our 6-week Beginner Pottery Wheel Class is the perfect introduction to the art of wheel throwing! Whether you've never touched clay before or are simply looking to try something new, this class will guide you through the fundamentals in a fun, relaxed, and supportive environment.

Over six weeks, you'll learn the basics of throwing with clay, including centering, opening, pulling walls, and shaping your own pieces on the pottery wheel. You'll also be introduced to trimming, making handles, carving, and glazing, transforming your creations into functional works of art.

No experience necessary — just bring your creativity and a willingness to get a little messy!

Class Fee Includes:

• 3 Hour Weekly Class (3rd hour is optional & utilized as open studio time)
• Clay
  
• Use of studio machinery, tools, & equipment
• Glazes/Materials
• Kiln Firing Access

Students will need to bring:

• Hand towel or Apron
• It is also recommended to trim your nails, as short as you're comfortable with.

Class sizes are limited to 6 people to ensure 1 on 1 time with the instructor.

Cancellation Policy:  Cancellations must be requested at least 1 week before the session. Cancellations made less than 1 week prior to the session starting date will receive a 50% refund. Any Cancellations made day of OR after a session has started will not be issued a refund & cannot be put toward a future session.

Make-up Policy: Students will be allowed 1 make up class per 6 week session. This class will be added on at the end of the 6 week session. The date/time of the makeup class will be depend on when the student's pieces are able to be safely bisque fired & ready to glaze. Due to kiln firing schedules & kiln space, this makeup class may be up to 2-4 weeks after the end of the 6 week session.
